GCIBFE-INSANIAH TRAINS 2ND BATCH OF CENTRAL BANK OF NIGERIA EMPLOYEES

KUALA LUMPUR, 14 May - After successfully conducting intensive training on Islamic Banking and Finance to the first group of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) employees last April, Global Centre for Islamic Banking, Finance and Entrepreneurship (GCIBFE) of Insaniah University College once again has given the same training to the 2nd batch of CBN staff at Istana Hotel.

The opening ceremony was officiated by the Deputy Rector of Academic Affairs, Prof. Madya Hj. Zakariya Man witnessed by Dato’ Ahmad Tajudin Abdul Rahman, Chairman of YAPEIM (Board of Trustees of Malaysian Islamic Economics Development Foundation); Dato’ Wan Ismail Wan Yusoh, General Manager, Strategic Relations of Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad and Dr. Ahmad Fauzi Idris, Dean of the Academic Affairs. Also present were Hj. Besar Nawawi Ngah, General Manager of GCIBFE and his deputy Dr Bello Lawal Danbatta.

In his speech, Prof. Madya Zakariya Man expresses his hope that through the training provided by GCIBFE it would benefit the CBN staff to further enhance the socio-economic recovery in Nigeria as well as helping other African countries out of poverty despite the current uncertainty in global economy.
